I Like Emails

Here's one from loyal listener, Brad:

Fuzz,

As a reader of your website, here are a few comments and feel free to use them anyway you see fit.

First off - In regards to Friday's “A Chick's Hatchling” article… “F” Natalie Maines and her new commie baby. Are we assuming that because this country seems to be run by such a bad leader that she will be moving overseas to, oh I don't know… maybe Iraq to raise this child. I highly doubt it. Having a cute little baby boy does not make us forget the way you cursed this country, the men and women who fight for it, and the man who leads it.

Reply: Amen to that. Notice the chicks haven't been in the spotlight as of late? It really shows how tight-knit the country music family (artists and broadcasters as well as listeners and fans) is. Linda “End of Career” Ronstadt should have had a talk with Natalie before she made her trip to the casino.

Second - Gretchen Wilson… she fine. I'll give her a “Hell Yea” if you know what I'm saying. All those redneck girls in her video, ummmmm…. where would one go to find women like that? As the resident country music and redneck expert of our group, I expect, no wait… I demand that you tell me where these women are. Country music keeps gettin better and better. I might have to go out and buy a CD or two. :)

I love how a few hot country singers pop up and all of the sudden my friends who used to make fun of country are all wagging their tongues. Welcome to the team Brad, the hot redneck women are located… at Wal-Mart and Discount Liquor. Enjoy. Honestly, you can find some snickety redneck women at The Mineshaft during Pure Country Friday nights, and at the Rubicon Ranch just west of Hartford. If you know of any other places in Wisconsin to find hot Redneck women, feel free to send me an email: fuzz@fuzzmartin.com.

Rachel told the Gazette's Rusty Marks, “I always tend to write more from life experiences. If I can get it out through a song, I think it might help people. And the message behind ‘Me & Emily’ is a very positive message.” “Me and Emily” spends this week at #16 on the Radio and Records chart and #18 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart.

CNN Runs Asinine Story

Thursday, July 22nd, 2004 by admin

This just in - CNN is a load of crap. That's big news to most of you, I know. Here's the latest in unintelligent partisan reporting. Headline: “Jenna Bush Sticks Tongue Out” Story:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- When first lady Laura Bush counseled her twin daughters on how to behave while campaigning with their father, she may have skipped the part about not sticking your tongue out at the media.

That's what Jenna Bush did Tuesday after President Bush arrived at St. Louis' Lambert International Airport.

After Bush joined his daughters in a limousine, Jenna stuck her tongue out at about a dozen photographers and reporters.

As the reporters started to laugh and snap photographs, the 22-year-old looked at them for a few more seconds, smiling and laughing.

The Bush twins recently joined their dad on the stump for his last political campaign.

WTF??? You are running a story about a girl sticking her tongue out. Her tongue. Running the story about Dick Cheney telling Senator Patrick Leahy to go F himself was bad enough. They aer both non-stories. Unless, of course, you are trying to make the President look bad - and if that is what you are trying to do on the front page of your politics section, then you ought to claim your employees wages as Kerry-Edwards campaign dollars. I have to go now before I pull my hair out.

Ronstadt Will Continue To Praise Moore

Thursday, July 22nd, 2004 by admin

According to the Los Angeles Times, Linda Ronstadt says she'll continue to praise controversial director Michael Moore while on stage. This comes despite the angry response she received at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas last Saturday. “This is an election year, I want people to get their head up out of their mashed potatoes and learn something about the issues and go and vote. … I'm not telling them how to vote. I'm saying, get information about the issues.” Her comments at the Aladdin Hotel sparked a near mob scene with objecting fans throwing drinks and defacing Linda's posters. Nearly 100 concert-goers called the Universal Ampitheater in Los Angeles requesting refunds to her Tuesday night show.
