That’s a real spider… honest…

In the interest of discourse, I am offering up my knowledge of Lost.
Have you been watching the show? Is there something you missed? Do you have a question about Lost, but don’t want to take the time to research it / go back and watch old episodes?
If so, reply to this thread with your questions about Lost and I will answer your questions to the best of my ability.
I have (had?) a FedEx shipping account. I used it a few times for shipping books that I sold on Amazon.com.
This morning I checked my bank account balance online. On my statement, there was a charge for $33.90 from FedEx. I haven’t used that account in over six months! The tracking number pointed to shipment from Jackson, TN to Ocala, FL.
I was pissed.
I called FedEx and directed to a person in India who I will assume has no idea where Jackson, TN; Ocala, FL; and West Bend, WI are in relation to each other. (I also couldn’t tell if it was a he or a she — I’ll go with she because it sounded more like a she than a he). After taking a few minutes to get over the language barrier, she finally refunded my charges.
Then! Then I asked her “how could this have happened? Does someone have my account information or is it possible that the shipper id# was simply transposed?”
I sat on hold for 15 minutes, presumably while she looked up the word “transposed.”
I didn’t receive any satisfaction regarding my account information, so I am canceling my account. For now on, I will only ship via DHL, UPS, and USPS (in that order).
If you recall, I had a great run-in with a wonderful DHL employee who went out of her way to save me time and gas money.
No more FedEx for me.
Next week, I am voting for the following candidates/amendments:
1. Mark Green
2. JB Van Hollen
3. Marriage Amendment: Yes
4. Death Penalty: Yes
Remember to vote one week from today…
I’m here… just busy. I hope all is well. Thanks for stopping by the site. I’ll post some new stuff real soon… and then we’ll party.
So, everyone has heard the flap about Bush saying “The Internets” and “The Google”.
What are your pet-peeve words that are often mis-spoke?
Mine has to be “graphics design”. Ugh, that drives me nuts. There is NO “S”, graphic design.
Anyone?
I hate spam emails, I hate all of the stupid Subjects of the emails like “Big Peenises Now” and all that junk.
But, if you are going to send out spam and viruses to people, be smart…
I just received a spam email from “Macromedia Flash Support” which had a text file attached titled something about “New Macromedia Software Uploaded”.
Macromedia was bought by Adobe almost a year ago…fix your spam content.
In case you didn’t know, the one and only Jay-Z, aka s-dot, is back in November with his “out of retirement album”, Kingdom Come.
Here’s a sample. (sorry if this get’s your site shut down, Fuzz!)
That sounds like a Kanye beat, for sure!
Thanks to Prefixmag.com for the tunes!
Click the “Play in a pop-up window” if the song continually buffers and doesn’t play. If none of this works, just click here to hear the song at Prefixmag.com

10/26/2006 Women accuse ex-judge of sex for Rx swap STORY
Today, I ran into walked past the woman who rear-ended me back in June. Now, you would think that after you ran into a person, gave the police a false ID, and then ended up not having insurance, you would be grateful that the person you hit did nothing more than call his insurance company.
Instead, I received the dirtiest look I have seen in months.
The nerve of some people.
Well, the name of the website is cool, anyway.
Why does freedom of speech only go one way? Is it only because conservatives don’t bitch enough when our freedoms are interrupted?
Case in point: Today on 894, two men held up a sign on a footbridge that said, “Vote YES for Marriage.” On the side of the freeway was a sheriff shouting at them to leave. Why should they? That’s their right, right? I mean, it’s a friggin’ sign! It wasn’t like they were disturbing the peace, or not allowing people to enter a building, or anything like that. They were holding a friggin’ sign! UGH!
P.S. … I am not necessarily voting “yes” for the amendment. I haven’t decided. I don’t really like the way it’s worded.
My team will get to take on the Golden Eagles/Warriors…
MILWAUKEE (AP) - A week after a deal seemed to be falling apart, officials at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee signed a five-year contract to rekindle their men’s basketball series with Marquette University.
…
According to the terms of the contract, the teams will meet each year between 2007 and 2011. Marquette will host every game at the Bradley Center except for the 2010 game, which UW-Milwaukee will host at the U.S. Cellular Arena.
Marquette and UW-Milwaukee, about ten miles apart in downtown Milwaukee, haven’t played since Dec. 8, 1998. The Golden Eagles lead the all-time series, 34-0.
Zucker does it again:
So, I was in my Africology class today, and the professor said that Hollywood goes in cycles and picks a common enemy during each one along the way. Blacks, indians, the japanese, and russians have all had their day in the negative spotlight.
Then he asked who the media’s enemy is now. I shouted, “Republicans.” The class roared with laughter.
But I wasn’t kidding.
By the way, the real answer to that question, according to him, was “Arabs.” I don’t think that I have seen Arabs in a negative spotlight in any post 9/11 movies or television shows.
Conservatives or Republicans, though, have more than their fair share of stereotyping shows, movies, and music:
The Daily Show
The West Wing
Syriana
Anything by Michael Moore
Anything by Barbara Streisand
The Dixie Chicks
Saturday Night Live
NPR
Air America
… I could go on and on, but I’d get carpal tunnel.
Feel free to list more in the comments.
Yes, Weird Al has finally cracked the Billboard top 10, with his parody of Chamillionaire’s “Ridin’ Dirty”…the song is “White and Nerdy”.
Chances are, if you are reading this blog, you know what most of this stuff means. (GO DELPHI!)
ps, peep the Star Wars Kid reference! LMFAO
I completed (mostly) work on the all new WBWIFM.com over the weekend, and we rolled it out this morning. There a few kinks here and there, but all in all, it turned out great. Thanks to Claude for some of his keen insight and graphic designer know-how.

From Jones:
Wheaties Rivalry
One of the legendary college football rivalries will soon be on the breakfast table. Wheaties is releasing cereal boxes this week that have Texas and Texas A&M on the same box. The Longhorns are on one side, with the Aggies on the other. General Mills says it’s the first time the “Breakfast of Champions†has featured a rivalry between two college football powerhouses. Fifth-ranked Texas and No. 23 Texas A&M play on November 24th – the Friday after Thanksgiving – in Austin.
I am writing this sitting in the Phoenix airport after being “assisted” by the TSA employees, here.
Apparently, there was a problem with my almost empty bottle of hair gel, which was a 4oz. bottle. (Did I mention it was almost empty?) From what I gather, you cannot have even 1oz of any liquid, etc in a vessel that is over 3oz. in size. Sure, I said something I shouldn’t have, but wtf?
I would write more, but I still have to get back to MSP (there is still time for me to be randomly searched or detained).
