Fuzz’s Top 5: Movies I’m Rewatching This Summer
May 7th, 2007 by Fuzz
School is winding down, and I will finally have a summer to do some things for myself. There have been some movies that I REALLY have been meaning to watch that I haven’t watched in a long time. I’m not saying that I’m going to spend the whole summer on the couch… but on a rainy day when I’m not watching Dora the Explorer… I’ll be watching these:
- Fletch - It has been about 10 years since I’ve seen Irwin Fletcher in action. This movie has some of the best one-liners EVAH!
- Heat - I might actually just skip forward to the big gun scene. This movie kicks serious ass. Seriously, though… Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore (before he ruined his career), John Voigt, AND Ashley Judd? This movie is just silly good.
- Young Guns - When I was a kid, I could quote every line from Young Guns 1 AND 2. I might rent them both and watch them back to back.
- Tombstone - I’m your huckleberry. I frickin’ love this movie. I was tempted to actually even use the tried and true “F-bomb” to describe my love for this movie… but I’ll restrain myself simply because there may be kids reading.
- Stand By Me - “Have you ever seen a dead body?” This movie was one of my favorites when I was a kid. It came out when I was eight. I really want to watch it again… so, I will.
Please don’t judge me based on the fact that Val Kilmer is in two of my five movies.

Ahhh Fletch… one of the few movies I truly think I can resite almost word for word. Love your body Larry.
Heat is one of the best movies that a lot of people have not seen. Although they had been in movies together before Heat, it’s the first time Pacino and DeNiro are on screen together, awesome. And the bank robbery scene is one of the best gunfights ever filmed. There’s a rumor that they are looking to turn it into a video game too. Imagine playing through that gunfight on your PS3 in spectacular 1080i HD and some Dolby 6.0.
And don’t sweat Kilmer my man, he has been in some pretty sweet flicks… Top Secret, Top Gun, Real Genius (It’s a penis stretcher), Willow, The Saint, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and two of my personal favs… The Ghost And The Darkness and Spartan. If you ain’t seen some of those movies, check ‘em out.
