Seeqpod test: Rocco DeLuca
March 10th, 2008 by ClaudeTagged as: Rocco DeLuca, seeqpod.
Some of you may remember a post I made saying Rocco DeLuca’s album “I Trust You To Kill Me” was the best album I had bought in over a year.
Well, it is/was. And here are some songs via Seeqpod to let you hear for yourself. *Hat tip to Fuzz for this great service which is WAY easier to navigate than Project Playlist.

Claude, I have to say thanks for the tip on Rocco Deluca. This album is awesome. I have listened to it at least once a week since I got it. We even played some if it at our wedding.
In the last year I have probably bought only 4-5 full albums thanks to the lack of good new music imho.
This one.
Jay-Z American Gangster
James Morrison-Undiscovered
Jack Johnson-Sleep through the static
Nonpoint-Vengeance
Papa Roach The Paramour Sessions

@OOS
I haven’t gotten Jack Johnson’s new album yet. Is it as good as his others?

C- I think it is the worst of all his albums. Except for the Eyes single it is really slow. I like his songs that are at least moderate tempo but this whole album seems painfully slow. I have only listened a couple times due to this so it may yet grow on me. Still saying that, it is still better than any of the crap on the radio right now.

WHAT?!?!
No Flo-Rida, Yung Jeezy, TI, Rhianna, Chris Brown, NeYo, or…
er wait, I guess those are the only people who get their songs played on top 40 radio right now.

I am starting to realize my age now. I hate top 40 music and I have no idea who NeYo or Flo-rida are. But I do like the name Florida. I watched a special on grunge music the other night and almost cried. Damn you Cobain. Can you imagine what kind of music he would be making now?

Curt Kobain would be making the same kind of music Eddie Vedder is making. Pappy smatterings for movie trailers. Not that it is terrible, I am just trying to relay that “you can’t go back”. It’s just evolution, baby. (Pearl Jam pun intended).

Are you trying to take food off my family?

I like the commercials better than the music. To be honest I am so pumped for baseball that I have only listened to sports talk since spring training started. Only 19 days to opening day!
