Saturday, June 28th, 2008 by FuzzHBO has been running George Carlin stand-up specials for the last few days. I love this:
The FCC, an appointed body, not elected, answerable only to the president, decided on its own that radio and television were the only two parts of American life not protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution. Why did they do that? Because they got a letter from a minister in Mississippi. A Reverend Donald Wildman in Mississippi heard something on the Radio that he didn’t like. Well, Reverend, did anyone ever tell you there are two knobs on the radio? Two knobs on the radio!! Of course, I’m sure the Reverend isn’t that comfortable with anything that has two knobs on it. But hey, Reverend, there are two knobs on the radio. One of them turns the radio off, and the other one changes the station! Imagine that, Reverend, you can actually change the station! It’s called freedom of choice, and it’s one of the principles this country was founded upon! Look it up in the library, Reverend, if you have any of them left when you’re finished burning all the books.

Thursday, June 26th, 2008 by FuzzClean-shaven Daddy
Wednesday, June 25th, 2008 by FuzzWhen I was younger, my dad had a beard. I distinctly remember a few times when he shaved it off. My sister, the poor little thing, would cry her eyes out every time he did.
The other day, I shaved off my goatee.
My almost-four-year-old daughter’s response: “you look like a girl, daddy.”
BOO.
RIP: George Carlin
Monday, June 23rd, 2008 by Fuzz“Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck.” - George Carlin.
Let’s hope that he made it higher that that.
George Carlin died of heart failure on Sunday. He was one of the best comics who ever lived. May he rest in peace. ![]()

Racist
Thursday, June 19th, 2008 by FuzzDETROIT, Michigan (AP) — A young Muslim woman said she and another woman were refused seats directly behind Barack Obama — and in front of TV cameras — at a Detroit rally because they wear head scarves.
Goes to show the difference between the parties. The Republicans would have accepted this woman to show the diversity of their party. Democrats fear that a woman with a scarf will bring out the “Hussein” in Barack Hussein Obama.
It’s the party of tolerance*, people.
*Tolerance will be negated in the in the event that you disagree with the party’s stance, if you look different than the ideals set forth by the DNC, and/or if you do not inherently hate the United States of America. Conformity and assimilation required.
Democrats. Love Everybody. some restrictions apply.
A Dream Coming True
Wednesday, June 18th, 2008 by FuzzThe other day, I got an e-mail from the Air National Guard asking if I would like to come aboard a KC-135 Stratotanker to witness a mid-air refueling of an F-16. Uhm… HELL YES!!!! I’ve always been in love with anything to do with military planes/jets. This is going to be friggin’ awesome!

Thank You, I Do Weddings
Monday, June 16th, 2008 by FuzzThough I’ve been photographing models and still life for a few years now, I did my first wedding over the weekend. I had a lot of fun and I think that I’ll do it again someday. If all of the brides in the world were as cool and laid back as Mrs. Zelenski was, I’d do weddings all of the time.
I’ll post a gallery after I get the photos to Tom and Kelly.
Thanks to Tracy, btw, for being the best assistant a man could ever ask for. ![]()

Father’s Day
Sunday, June 15th, 2008 by FuzzThis afternoon, my always-bouncy, never-stop-running, three-almost-four-year-old daughter climbed up onto my chest and fell asleep for almost two hours. It was the best Father’s Day ever. I hope yours was good, too.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad.

Thursday, June 12th, 2008 by FuzzFor the second time in less than a week, I am in the basement of my house. As a kid, I always thought that Dodge County was Wisconsin’s version of Tornado Alley. In my three years here in Mayville, though, Saturday and today are the only two times that I have heard the tornado sirens going off. Racine and Kenosha seem to get the brunt of the storms, nowadays, but nobody has been safe in the last week or so.
Thank goodness for wireless internet. ![]()
