Janesville GM Plant to Close

2,600 GM employees at the Janesville assembly plant will be out of a job soon as General Motors announced today that it will close the plant (and three others) by 2010.

High gas prices and a union that has always thought it was entitled to ungodly wages and benefits are to blame.

I didn’t see anything about the Union being part of the reason for closure in any press releases?

That was editorial. ;) Prices of GM vehicles are so high due to the fact that they pay their employees so much in wages and benefits that they must keep the prices high in order to make any profit. That’s all thanks to the UAW.
