At Least It’s Not Purple?

Brett Favre, Wisconsin’s BFF, is going to the Jets. I’m guessing that the New York media and fans are going to eat him for lunch every time he throws a pick, loses a game, or tries some Brett-Farveish move that doesn’t work.
Good luck, Brett. I’m glad you’re in the AFC now.
When I started working for a certain company, there was one woman who was the top salesperson year after year. She had a gigantic flaw, though. This woman was a total selfish, infantile bitch that loved to cause problems day after day.
Since she was the top biller, she broke sales records, and she was miles ahead of the nearest sales person, she assumed that she could get away with anything. On a regular basis, she would belittle the manager, conduct personal business during work hours, and stomp her feet whenever anyone objected to her behavior. It was basically like working with one of Cinderella’s evil stepsisters.
Then, one day, I got a call from my manager; he fired her. The company had enough of her diva-like behavior and they were not going to further negotiate with this internal terrorist. A lot of the staff thought that we were doomed. After all, her name was on all the sales awards, most of the incoming contracts, and in the minds of tons of clients.
After her departure, we started breaking sales records.
Green Bay, too, will be just fine. They had great successes with their diva-like employee, but they won’t be able to move forward until they truly move on.
On of my “business” professors was late to class today because he was busy watching the Brett Favre retirement press conference. Pretty damn professional. We’re now five minutes into when class was supposed to start and we still haven’t gotten down to business. Sheesh!
FoxSports.com is reporting that Brett Favre is retiring from the Green Bay Packers! He’s had a great career and I’m glad that he was on “our” team.
The most storied quarterback career in NFL history is coming to a close.
FOXSports.com has learned that legendary quarterback Brett Favre has decided to retire. In fact, it’s believed he informed the Packers of his decision within the last few days, although it’s unclear when Favre and the team will make his decision known.
So barring an unforeseen last-minute change of heart, Favre will leave the game after 17 years, during which he built himself into a household name and a figure synonymous with grit, toughness and perseverance.
Neither GM Ted Thompson nor head coach Mike McCarthy returned several calls left by FOXSports.com for confirmation.
After flirting with retirement for the last few years, Favre will finally go out on the heels of one of the best seasons of his career.
