Fifteen Minutes with Fuzz

A podcast about positive things happening in and around Washington County, Wisconsin

History of the West Bend Christmas Parade with Jeff Szukalski

A man with short white hair and a mustache stands in a hallway, smiling. He is wearing a black polo shirt with a blue logo on it. The background features an interior setting with soft lighting and a staircase railing. In the foreground, the text “15 minutes with Fuzz” is prominently displayed in a bold font.

Today, Jeff Szukalski of Jeff’s Spirits on Main jumps into the studio to talk about the West Bend Christmas Parade. Yes, yes…Christmas in July and all of that. No, I didn’t plan for this episode to land in July… it just matched up because their annual Jingle Bell Open golf outing fundraiser is coming up on Monday, August 1st.

Jeff talks about some of the really interesting history of the West Bend Christmas Parade, including the fact that it is Wisconsin’s longest consecutively running Christmas Parade despite it almost shutting down twice.

This also marks the end of Season 1 of Fifteen Minutes with Fuzz. I’m going to take a break for the month of August so that I can spend some more time with my family before they all go back to school (including one of them heading off to college).

Thanks for listening this season and I’ll talk to you again at the beginning of September.
