All In One Place

Consolidating the tasks that eat up my time

It’s hard to believe, but FuzzMartin.com is 22 years old this year. To put that in perspective, my oldest daughter turns 20 this week. I was only 23 when I first bought this domain name! Yeesh.

Kickin’ it Old School

This website has taken on many forms over the years. It started because the fine folks at West Bend Broadcasting didn’t think we needed a website for the radio station. It was 2002 and I was a little ahead of the curve. So, I learned to code and started my own. FuzzMartin.com was born. Once staff started asking me to put stuff on my website for the station, they finally let us get a site.

Here’s what it looked like on November 11th, 2002:

Screenshot of FuzzMartin.com from November 11th, 2002, captured via the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. The website features a black background with red and yellow text. The header displays “FuzzMartin.com” prominently in red. The content includes a list of updates such as a movie review of “8 Mile,” links to CMA awards coverage, and updates on Mike and Cathy’s pages under the Pure Country 92.5 section. There’s a note about the website still growing and a suggestion to email Fuzz at Fuzz@FuzzMartin.com for feedback. Additionally, there is a poll question asking which act should play at the ’03 Washington County Fair, with options including Trick Pony, Rascal Flatts, Jo Dee Messina, Travis Tritt, and Kenny Rogers. An image promoting the CMA Awards is also visible.
Check out my 8 Mile review. 🍝😀

The site eventually morphed into a WordPress blog and I had a ton of content. But, then social media came along and took over my focus. So, I stripped the site down to more of a CV page until a couple of years ago.

Unless you came to this site via search, you likely know that I have a podcast called Fifteen Minutes with Fuzz. That site used to be on a separate URL. That meant I had to manage two websites – this one and that one. I’m at a point in my life where I’m trying to consolidate some of the things that take up a lot of my time, so this summer, I decided to combine both sites into one.

Moving forward you can find my blog posts, my podcast episodes, and some more exciting stuff (coming soon), all right here on FuzzMartin.com.

Thanks for stopping by. By the way, Kenny Rogers ended up playing at the 2003 Washington County Fair. I don’t want to say my poll had some pull, but…
